Disciple Bros

Discipleship, It's a Commandment!

We Say it Because it is TRUE!

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

Disciplebros.org is a men’s ministry dedicated to following Jesus’ commandment known as the great commission.

We are a growing group of Christian men who no longer want to sit on the side lines. We desire a closer relationship with God. We have stopped making excuses about not knowing our calling and have started moving forward in OBEDIENCE.

Disciplebros.org takes God’s word literally to make disciples among all nations. Jesus’ call to become His disciple was an all or nothing commitment.

Unfortunately, most men who claim to be Christians are more concerned about their sports team’s performance or personal finances than they are with studying the scripture or their personal holiness and evangelizing. Something is not right.

As men, we need to stand up and start following Jesus’ commandment intentionally as Christians. Our faith does not end with just believing, it is only the beginning. We want to help you grow and be a disciple maker.

What is a Biblical Disciple?

The Greek term for “disciple” in the New Testament is mathetes, which means more than just “student” or “learner.” A biblical disciple is a “follower,” someone who submits completely to the teachings of Jesus, making Him the Lord of their lives. We are commanded to go out and multiply and teach others sound doctrine in so doing creating more disciples (followers of Christ).

Jesus Gave Us a Mission!

Have you ever felt like there was a disconnect between what you read in the bible and your life? You read Acts, then you look around and things just don’t quite line up.

What if we were to try something radical? Well maybe it’s not so radical, but what if we did exactly what Jesus asked us to do? What if being a Christian meant more than just showing up at Church? What if it meant making disciples as a daily part of our lives?

What if when Jesus said go out and make disciples among all the nations...(Matthew 28:19) He was speaking to you and me?

Imagine if each one of us were actually making disciples each week in our communities and within our circle of influence.

Do you think your life might start looking more like what you read in Acts?

Here is something radical, HE WAS! He was speaking to all of us. At disciplebros.org we believe Jesus’ statement “to go and make disciples“ is for each of us as our instruction. So that is exactly what we’re doing!

We’re calling men out of a superficial relationship and asking them in obedience to God’s Word to get involved in the expansion of His Kingdom. To make disciples! To do this you need to know the Word of God in a deeper way. This starts by making learning about our God a priority (2 Timothy 3:16,17). Don’t you think if we are going to love Him with all are hearts, mind and soul, we need to know Him?

Disciplebros.org would like to help you become a disciple maker by meeting with you one-on-one or in a small group in an intentional way, studying God’s Word so that you can then go out and fulfill God’s commandment of living for Him and being obedient to His instructions. (John 14:15)

Here’s How It Works...

You meet one-on-one with a disciple maker each week for about an hour. You pray together, hold each other accountable and study God’s word. Your studies will focus on four areas (Fundamentals of the Christian Faith, Soteriology, Theology proper and Hermeneutics). There is about 1 hour of homework each week. Over the year, you’ll not only be learning but building up a new relationship with other Christian men and their family’s that will last a lifetime. It is equipping yourself to live for Christ. (Ephesians 2:10) Then, YOU go out and repeat the process. Now doesn’t that sound biblical?

We realize we all have different abilities, but all are called to ACTION! Hasn’t God given you an ability to be used for his glory? When you think about it, it all breaks down to what’s important to you. Are you willing to pick up your cross and follow Him? (Luke 9:23)

If so, please join other men like yourself and start the journey of making disciples. It’s a commandment!
